At The Vale Hotel, we believe that great hospitality is built on genuine care, attention to detail, and a warm welcome. The Vale Hotel is set in the historic Saxon town of Cricklade, the first town on the River Thames, in the heart of the Cotswolds. Our Grade II listed building has been renovated to be a relaxed, warm, friendly, and fun family-run hotel.
We have a zero tolerance policy on any disrespectful and anti-social behaviour, giving you peace of mind that your stay with us will be safe and secure.

If music is your thing, we run an open mic night each month - come along and join the fun! Why not hire our open plan space for your own event!! With ample space to entertain your guests, a designated music station, and right by the open plan bar, what more could you need!?
Restaurant And Bar
Jambo Namaste Fusion is the Vale Hotel’s signature restaurant, offering a unique dining experience inspired by Kenyan and Indian cuisines. Our carefully crafted menu celebrates rich flavours, aromatic spices, and traditional recipes, bringing together two vibrant culinary cultures. The Vale Hotel also has a bar, which is a separate, relaxed space designed for guests to unwind and socialise.
Check-In & Additional Information
Check-in time is from 17:00 - 21:00; early check-in may be possible by prior arrangement ONLY. Please contact us directly if this is required. We would like to make all our guests fully aware that due to the listed status and age of The Vale, the steep stairways internally and externally may not be suitable for those with mobility or accessibility concerns. Please note: We have two rooms that are dog-friendly. If you require this, you must call us upon booking to ensure you can be allocated a room. There is a £10.00 additional charge on arrival. Failure to call and reserve a dog-friendly room will result in you being turned away
